Teeth can be filled with gold, porcelain, silver amalgam or tooth-colored, plastic and glass materials called composite resin fillings. The location and extent of the decay, cost of filling material and my recommendation assist in determining the type of filling that will best address your needs.
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
With the small mirror to guide them, I use a scaler to get rid of plaque, tartar and stones around your gum line, as well as in between your teeth. You'll hear scraping, but this is normal. The more tartar there is in your mouth, the more time I will need to scrape a particular spot.
ENDOPOSTS
Root canal treatment is designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth. When one undergoes a root canal, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed.
I always make sure the patient is as comfortable as possible and aim to make all treatments as pain-free as possible.
